Gerard Spencer
Gérard is a Hang player from Luxembourg. His musical journey began with the practice of the piano and the saxophone. It was not until October 2009 that he discovered the hang. During a weekend in London, walking along the Thames, he heard a strange sound, to say the least, that immediately captivated him. He scanned the surroundings and saw a man, sitting on the ground, slapping his hands on what looked like a UFO. It was love at first sight, Gérard knew he had just discovered 'his instrument'. Following this magical moment, Gérard set out to find a hang. The more his explorations advanced, the more his passion for this instrument grew. It was in Paris that his quest came to an end when he bought a superb 'first generation Jazz Scale' hang. The discovery of the hang was accompanied by a new passion for all kinds of instruments of the world: The Djembe, the cajon, the Tibetan bells and bowls, the Didgeridoo, the Shruti Box and many others.
